Hanit modified Starches can be used as a film former on the surface of snacks and cereal pieces having characteristics such as; resistance to cracking and chipping. They contribute almost no calories compared with oil based alternatives. Our modified starches result in tighter cell structures in ready to eat cereals which means that the bowl life is significantly extended. They have various functions in extruded and fried snacks such as; obtaining crisp, enhancing product throughputs and decreasing barrel viscosity.
